La cuesti\u00f3n surgi\u00f3 el otro d\u00eda cuando Rodrigo me formulaba este planteamiento. Y la respuesta es que le pude dar es que APRETAR es un verbo irregular, por tanto hemos de conjugarlo al estilo de otros verbos irregulares de la primera conjugaci\u00f3n como ACERTAR. Por tanto, la forma correcta es la forma con i. Veamos pues la explicaci\u00f3n que nos ofrece el Diccionario Panhisp\u00e1nico de Dudas:<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14pt;font-family:'Times New Roman Negrita';\"><strong>apretar(se)<\/strong><!--\/lema-->. <\/span>\u2018Oprimir o estrechar\u2019 y \u2018juntar(se) estrechamente\u2019. Verbo irregular: se conjuga como <em>acertar<\/em> (<span style=\"font-size:16pt;\">\u2192<\/span> <span style=\"font-variant:small-caps;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/buscon.rae.es\/dpdI\/apendices\/apendice1-pres.html\">ap\u00e9ndice 1<\/a><\/span>, <a href=\"http:\/\/buscon.rae.es\/dpdI\/apendices\/apendice1.html#n%C2%BA16\">n.\u00ba 16<\/a>), esto es, diptongan las formas cuya ra\u00edz es t\u00f3nica (<em>aprieto, aprietas, <\/em>etc.), pero no aquellas cuya ra\u00edz es \u00e1tona (<em>apretamos, apret\u00e1is,<\/em> etc.). Son, pues, incorrectas las formas sin diptongo cuando la ra\u00edz es t\u00f3nica: <font color=\"#ff0000\"><img src=\"http:\/\/buscon.rae.es\/dpdI\/images\/bolaspa.gif\" alt=\"Marca de incorrecci\u00f3n.\" \/><em>apreto, <\/em><img src=\"http:\/\/buscon.rae.es\/dpdI\/images\/bolaspa.gif\" alt=\"Marca de incorrecci\u00f3n.\" \/><\/font><em><font color=\"#ff0000\">apretas<\/font>, <\/em>etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dicen que Dios aprieta pero no ahora, pero \u00bfc\u00f3mo le dir\u00edamos al propio Dios que no nos apretase? \u00abNo me apretes que me haces da\u00f1o\u00bb o \u00abNo me aprietes que me haces da\u00f1o\u00bb.
